As it turns out, it was most likely a bad sparkplug. I changed it and the scooter started right up, with no further problems so far. However, getting to the sparkplug was a major hassle, since I had to take apart half the scooter, but I think people should learn to perform this procedure since I probably saved at least $100 by doing it myself.
I wanted to change the oil in my scooter, but for the first time in 2 years, it won't start. I can crank it for 5-10 seconds, but it won't turn over. If I give the throttle a slight twist, it might start for a second or two, then die. Any ideas of what the problem might be? The previous night I rode it for 2 hours with no problem.
