Glad to see someone has tackled this problem! According to my Kymco dealer there are no trailers available for the Grandvista. But it looks like your solution would work for me as well. Is that a bicycle trailer you got there? And like “topaz6turboâ€, could you show us a close up shot of how the trailer hooks up to the scoot?

The Cushman Club of America is bringing its annual Cushman Scooters meet this year to Sturgis, site of the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
The national scooter meets have been held for nearly three decades. Past-president Jeff Bartheld says club members decided Sturgis would be a good site, so they could "play
where the big boys played."
The Cushman Rally is set for June 14-18. Bartheld says more than 400 campsites and hotel rooms have already been reserved.

The Cushman Club of America is bringing its annual Cushman Scooters meet this year to Sturgis, site of the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
The national scooter meets have been held for nearly three decades. Past-president Jeff Bartheld says club members decided Sturgis would be a good site, so they could "play
where the big boys played."
The Cushman Rally is set for June 14-18. Bartheld says more than 400 campsites and hotel rooms have already been reserved.

Yeah, you can remove the back rest without destroying the seat. I did. Lift the seat open and you can access the mounting screws from the underneath. Be sure to keep it, though. After removing the back rest I took a 2 ¼†hole saw and cut out 3 washers from a piece of black plastic I had laying around and replaced the screws. The plastic washers trims out and seal the holes. And while you’re at it you might want to get yourself an AirHawk seat cushion. The Medium Cruiser size works great. You can check it out at www.rlmotorcycles.com But I’d shop around a bit you might get a better deal. They are more than worth the money. The Garndvista is a sweet scoot, but the AirHawk turns it into a Cadillac. You wont regret it and your butt will thank you for it.

Sure it’s got all the stuff you’d expect at a Rally of this size… Big name bands at the Buffalo Chip, lots and lots of hogs, parties, a huge selection of gear and part swaps, bla bla bla. But I’m thinking it’s the ride, the great wide open country riding out in the Black Hills and Badlands that’s got a lot of riders coming back for more year after year. So, yeah the Rally is way cool but it’s the riding out here that’s the real reason to check it out.
Don't know if you noticed but there was an Indian Classic at the "Free Bike Wash" in the video. A guy by the name of Chad was the proud owner. Wouldn't mine have that one myself.

As some of you may now know Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler suffered head, neck and shoulder injuries last night when he fell off stage at the Buffalo Chip Campground during the Motorcycle Rally here in Sturgis, South Dakota. I was there yesterday afternoon to shoot the Rally before the concert that night. We all hope Steven is doing well and makes a speedy recovery.
Well, this is what I got and this one’s for you, Steven.

No just kidding. Actually I’m looking at getting a shadow one day as I had one years ago. Nice ride. But I’ll be keeping my GV-250. Just yesterday I toured Badlands National Park, South Dakota. Took some gravel back roads that I’m sure would have been too much for the Shadow as the roads have a lot of washboard and areas with gravel. The weight of the Shadow would have made it difficult to handle. I’m not recommending traveling roads like that with any street bike but I was able to with the GV.

I would have to agree with “norcal1†The GV 250 is an outstanding scoot with enough power for most riding condition. That said, if you intend to do much interstate riding, say more than twenty minutes daily than a 500 would be a better choice. Just last week I had to ride the interstate for about 45 minutes each way for two days and it was a bit much. Let’s face it, a 250 doesn’t have the smooth ride of a 500 or 700. The GV 250 had the power but it had to wind up so high, in addition to the smaller wheels and lighter weight made for a ride a bit on the rough side. It should be noted that I have an AirHawk seat cushion which helps a lot but you still can feel it through the handle bars and the scoot in general.
Years ago I road a Honda Shadow 700 and it was as smooth a ride on the interstate as you could want. I might pick one up again down the road but I still plan to hold on to the GV 250 because it’s a great scoot and maybe the best one out there.
