Yager GT 200i / Re: Oil Service Light

hold adjust like they say. this changes gauges from mph to kilo's to nothing that should read around 600 some miles. hold both buttons on that reading and the miles will go to 0 and light will go off. make sure you adjust back to mph.

i removed the handle backrest rack thingy and put a budget box in its place that came with a metal base plate. the back end is actually much lighter now. the cast rack thingy is heavy and i mounted the base plate right to whats there. no tilting unless seat and top box are loaded up.

that square hole in the bottom of the cvt case is where the yager actually breathes from

yep !  pull your box with seat and follow the air intake.  like zombie said,  goofy !

is it the snorkle between the the drive unit case and the air cleaner? mine was'nt connected upon inspection doing 2nd oil change. took out the storage box with seat and reconnected. i never noticed a difference but it was never restricted like being crushed. if it is that snorkle you won't hurt a thing. if its the one between the air box and the efi you will. your right about that one being for noise. that square hole in the bottom of the cvt case is where the yager actually breathes from. hard to hear intake from way down there.

Yager GT 200i / Re: Speed!
« on: June 18, 2012, 11:34:32 PM »
My Yager 200 gt is well broken in but this year so far been only used for short to medium trips no more than 50 mph.  Early Saturday morning I was out on 290 expressway in Chicago with little traffic and the scoot felt good so I ran it up to 70 mph!!!!  The last 5 mph took a little time but we made it!  I wouldn't want to run there all day (even between 55 and 65 mph I tend to vary the speed) but it's good to know the engine has loosened up a bit and the top end is available.

This is pretty awesome for a <200cc scoot that gets 75-85 miles per gallon!
how many miles do you have now ?

Ah, Baguio! Always wanted to go there when I was in the PI. Never made it. Definitely a great lookin' road!

What are the standard weight of rollers for the 200i? I will HAVE to inspect the CVT soon and might just put in a set of lighter rollers or sliders while I am at it.

my commute is mostly 35 & 45 mph roads with about a mile and a half of 55 mph. i may hit 63 or 64 on that stretch and i can tell you i'm at 7000 rpm with the stock rollers. same speed with recommended sliders was at 8500 rpm. i have not yet tried a top end run but with my mostly slower road commute i've been getting around 75 mpg +. i've probably been just putting along compared to you, i should start exploring it's limits a little more. but loving the mileage.  :)

better excellaration-you bet, lower rpm's on top-not even close. at  60 mph were at 8,000 rpm, at 64 mph were at 8,500 and climbing. having a 19.4 mile commute to work one way with some 55 mph roads, these aren't working for me. when changing back to the rollers, the installer and myself checked for correct install of sliders, and they were correct. seems the claims dr.pulley makes are more like how the rollers perform. so, i'm done playing around with aftermarket claims. seems kymco got it right getting the best performance out of this model.

ah, found the old post, with cortez's help i finely got the sliders. dr pulley recomends 10-15% lighter than stock for quicker accelaration and same top speed at a few hundered less rpm. so that's what i went with. will have a valve adjust and sliders put in as soon as weather permits and will report back after some good riding.  ;D  for those of you looking to swap out the rollers the stock weight is-17.5gr. dr. pulley size and weight-20x15 16gr.

Are those 12" wheels? They are the same as the old ZX wheel. I just complimented on them to someone else...
