General Discussion / 300i Xtownm replaced breaks and Speed and Odometer no longer working. Any hints?

I replaced the front and rear brakes and tires, then the Speedometer and Odometer stopped functioning. Any idea what could have happened in this basic replacement?

I need to figure out how to tighten the mirror before I lock up the threads.

I have tightened the Base nut and it will not tighten to were the mirror stays in place.

The left will swivel for adjusting, but the right has not stiffened up at all and still moves with bumps and wind.

Hello all, I am new to the Forum. I am writing to see what is the trick to adjusting the mirrors on a Xtown 300 so that they wont wiggle out of place by wind or a bump. I tightened the Nut at the base, but it doesn't cinch it down. Who has figured this out?

So the Adjusting bolt on the top is a 10mm, but the socket is too wide to fit. I grinded down a 10mm socket to fit into the space and was able to tighten. But it seemed to always come loose.
