General Discussion / Re: My Honda scooter

as far as changing weights, I'm pretty happy at the mid 60's for speed. the fuel mileage is great stock so I'm good. I live in Schenectady NY so if anyone's over this way, let me know. good riding in the mountains around here

I have mentioned my new replacement scooter being a Honda. there has been some interest so here goes:
last November I purchased a 2025 Honda ADV160 scooter. The machine has been great, a little faster than my Kymco Like200i and a smoother ride. That is to be expected given it was 2500.00 more than the Kymco. I was looking for something a little faster because of impatient drivers in upstate NY. It fits the bill well as it tops out at an honest 64 mph. I miss the step through design, and, if I had to do it again, I would've kept the like 200i also. the fuel mileage is great and always gets over 100 mpg. other than that, I'm pretty happy. so far, so good. hope this helps

2200 miles on my new Honda 160, but I have several motorcycles also

That was a great review! I am currently looking. I also like the step through design. It will go along with my Honda ADV160, which, so far, has been great. Had the like200i but we really don't have a Kymco dealer now. they have a large wheel, step through scooter also and I had good luck with the Kymco. Thanks again

happy holidays to everyone! Just touching base to see how everyone is doing. I purchased a Honda ADV160 last November and sold the Kymco like200i I had. starting to miss the simplicity of it. the step through design was a plus. I only had a little over 6000 miles on it so longevity didn't come into the picture. I'll check back every once in a while, hope everyone is well. Stig, I assume you're still riding the heck out of yours

makes you wonder who designed these things. Used to have cars where the doors would freeze. They were designed in Detroit!

I wouldn’t say I was moving up. It’s not better, just different. I will keep you posted on the Honda if everyone likes. Not sure about the Forum for the ADV. right now, there’s ice on the roads so it’s sitting. Was really interested in the Piaggio 150 also but our local dealer who is Vespa, Aprillia, and Moto Guzzi also just closed their doors after 3 years. So anyway, it’s the Honda. Thanks again everyone and Happy Holidays!

when I'm parked getting groceries or other errands, someone always asks if it's a Vespa with my Like 200I.

Don't know if I'm doing this right but I've had a couple of replies about saying goodbye asking me to show the new scooter so here it is. I purchased a brand new Honda ADV160. showing a picture with new top box, or old Kymco top box and my cold weather hand guards. if you look closely, you'll see ice on the ground in upstate NY. hoping it goes away today so I can get out. so far, at only 300 miles, I like the new one. wanted something a little faster and I've had it at GPS, to 64 mph. it only has 300 miles so I don't want to push it yet. getting around 95 mpg but again, it's not broken in. thanks for your support and I will check back again soon.
also, was happy to sell the Kymco Like 200I to a nice lady for her son as a Christmas gift, so I do feel like it ended well. I will miss that scooter. 4 years and totally trouble free

I am sad to do this but I'm saying goodbye. Just purchased a new Honda ADV160 and sold my Kymco Like200I. wanted something just a little faster for the roads in upstate NY. The Kymco like 200I that I had ran perfect for 4 summers and 6100 miles. I will miss all the great advice on this machine. A very nice lady purchased it for her son for a Christmas gift, so it was a happy ending. will miss you guys and will check back from time to time.

I am near Albany NY and there are few scooters. I went to the A Town Rumblers, a scooter group here and same thing, little interest and finally dissolved. I'm still going to ride my like 200i and enjoy it

This might have been already asked but, is everyone aware of Scooterzine magazine? its bi monthly subscription and loaded with scooter news, rides, meetups, and stories. just wondering and if you haven't heard of it, its worth looking at

we just had our capital region toys for tots run here by Brunswick Harley Davidson in NY. we had over 700 riders signed up! I have ridden in them before and it's pretty exciting. I still am not a fan of group rides though. but, it is a great cause
