Light rollers compensate for this by increasing the engine power, but results in high rpm at take off and higher rpms at cruising.

I already have blue malossi springs engaging at about 4000rpm and corretly balanced with contra spring.
my only idea would be to give OE belt a try to check for any improvement in top speed, at the moment i'm locked to 90km/h at about 9300rpm...

actually i have a DAYCO BELT 8134,18 x 743 mm,
probably should give a try to an OEM one to see if there will be some improvements.
regarding the rollers i tryed everything from 5.5 to 7gr, when are heavier i get a bad take off so till now the 5.5 seems to me the best compromise
(anyway i double checked on the variator and the belt arrive with no problems at full travel when WOT)

Not sure, but I recall 8 or 9gm rollers are stock.   I have 9gm in my Super 9.

yes, i replaced them, tecnigas with airsal sport 70cc should have powerband between 8500 and 9000rpm, if i put 7gr or more i can't be near the powerband during the shifting

You should be getting more than 9300 rpm out of your Airsal.  Did your exhaust have a restriction, and has it been removed?


actually i have the original variator kymco with 5.5gr rollers.
no restriction on cdi neither on tecnigas or variator :(
do you think to try some lighter rollers?

hi guys,

does anybody know if the multivar malossi variator M519988 could be fitted manteining the electric start or should it be removed to fix this variator???
the scooter is a kymco super 9 ac.

how much top speed did you gain with this improvement (only variator) ?

i already have an airsal 70cc ac, 24mm carb, tecnigas trek, long primary gears malossi, dayco belt 18 x 743 mm, a very good torque but i'm stocked to 90km/h top speed at around 9300rpm...

i start to think that the point is the original cvt assembly, does anybody tried multivar + maybe an oversized torque control and longer belt on kymco super 9?

hi guys,

i want to fit a 24mm carb on my kymco super 9 ac,
the point is that i can't find a suitable manifold, how would you fit this carb?
anyone tryed the honda dio oversized  manifold on super 9?



i know that exist the malossi adapter for this model but i think it will fit till 21mm carb and not bigger ones...
