People 50 / Changing vario, to... no idea what to choose.... Help!

Hello to all,
Struggling with decision to make… I need to buy racing variator, CVT. For my Kymco People S, 50cc, 4 stroke.

But cannot decide  ???

And this must be best and better than any invented Vario…

Best thing to clean up any engine part is...gasoil, just find somekind of hard plastic box and fill it with the gasoil, this is the best practice ever ;)

Hello,

one of my scooters had same CDI unit, the trick in there is, if those wires are unplugged, its unrestricted, if you connect them, then restricted nothing else about this CDI ;)

Also good advise to look parts from here, as you have big wheels, perfomance is little bit different than other scooters with 10-13" wheels.

Hi,

I am using Xenons on my People S, but as mentioned battery runs out...only if you will manage to build in the wiring system switch that kills any electrycity movement, but here is one minus, also your clock will be always 12am.
And thos tires, they are slippery, better try to find Enduro/offroad tires with same markings.
I will do it next month.
So xenon with switch and offroad tires ;)

try to remove sparkplug and add in cylinder ( where the sparkplug was ) hole little bit of gasoil, screw plug back and try to start.
This will show if problem is in the fuel line.

Also its not bad idea to cleanup carb, in youtube you will find millions of videos how to do it.

And problem more sound like your fuel mixture is not set correctly, but try those things first ;)

How would I know if I have an S or not?  All I know is that it is a 50cc 2 stroke.

S is a four stroke model, so you have smaller version of the people.

big or small doesn´t matter.
Scooter = fun
All is in the scooter, Kymco People S is the best for the big boned.
I had also 2stroke Kymco people, for me it was small.
4 stroke scooters...Up to the hills is the biggest problem, but you know what, we are talking here about 50cc scoots, so enjoy even 25km/h speed up to the hill, this is all about fun, not super over tuned monster scooters.
As I am myself 118kg. 182cm tall.

Sometimes even in the Winter, and here I am not talking about "some" snow, winters here are
5 -... meters walls around and -35c -...
On the speedo will be soon 20 000km.  

Enjoy riding on this super scoot!

In German, but you will hear the perfect sound of the engine:
Vergaser einstellen am 4-Takter

As some of riders recommend airscrew to be 1 1/2 and the others say best is 2 1/2... currently in my scoot its very different...
Airscrew is out only 0,25 from one turn so its less than 1/2.
Drive on the scooter just about 2-3km, and look sparkplug, the color of it should be like a coffe. If its not then you need to play with those 2 screws, rew. and air.

And what I am looking for, vario settings:
rolls, cluts springs, torgue spings, etc.
If all is stock, then what weight are rolls...etc.

Probably best to 1st open up the cvt cover and take the bell housing off to remove the clutch assembly and have a look at it. Make sure you have some depth left on the clutch pads and check no springs are broken or loose. Also give a clean out if its dirty inside.

If the clutch looks ok it may just be dirt in it and a good clean can fix it.
