General Discussion / Re: 2007 Kymco Agility 50 electrical issues
« on: June 16, 2020, 03:52:51 AM »
I changed out front and rear blinkers with led’s.  The headlight was led as well.  No issues for the past year.  All were working fine.
The odd thing was when I hit the brakes the led’s would speed up their blinking.  Is that because there was a greater load?
No blown fuses.  Now when I put the blinkers on it seems like there is a very small amount of current bleeding through and all led blinkers barely light up.
Strange.
I was using the same stock relay for a few years without an issue.  What finally gave up?

Sorry for not posting in the appropriate forum but looks like activity has slowed considerably and looks like I won’t get an answer...
Ok.
I’ve had led lights changed over for a few years without problems.  Recently when I squeeze the brake handle they would start flashing faster than normal.  When I let off they flash normally....?
Last week I went to flick the passing light switch and the headlight blew out.  Now it’s blown.
Hmmmmm.  So now when I turn on my blinkers they all come on but very faint.  Is it a short? Where shall I start? Just put a big bore kit on and it runs pretty well but no damn lights or blinkers!!
Brake light work great just as it is supposed to.
I’m a bit puzzled on this one.
7,000 miles on the scoot.  This is my first scoot and kinda close to it. Haha!

Agility 50 / "Missing" pretty sure spark issue? '07 Agility 50 4 stroke

I've been having a "missing" issue...
I'm at sea level (east coast) and started with the usual.  Looking for loose wires, etc.
Jetting.. started with a 90, the 85, then 80, and finally a 95.
Bought another carb and have the same missing issues.
Bought a coil pack spark plug boot and bypassed the stock foil and wire. Still there.
What next? I'm guessing the easy stuff. Swap out cdi, spark plug, then to the pulsed and stator?

Agility 50 / Re: Omg..cdi's for Kymco Agility 50

What would you suggest on the cdi? I would think that there can be a very large variance with jets depending on where you live and the temp....
Also, in my experience, having an open filter creates too much turbulence and messes with the carb when it sucks in air. you need a long smooth airflow going into the carb so I guess I will stick with the stock intake.  The cdi baffles me though!?

Agility 50 / Omg..cdi's for Kymco Agility 50

Ok...I've been through 4 different cdi's for my 2007 Agility and none work.
Purchased 2 from scrappy dog (both dc) and neither would start the scoot....just cranks and cranks...
Read up here on the forums and found the "yellow" one on eBay seemed to be one of the better ones so I bought it. Plugged it in and guess what??? Cranks and cranks..
I tried two AC units as well but no luck!!?? Plugged the factory one in and it starts right up!
I am quite sure it's a D.C. Cdi. But why am I having so much trouble!?
Also,
Tried taking the factory airbox off and put a tube with filter on the end. Went with a 90 jet and an 80 jet. Ran like crap.  Is it the turbulence that is caused from the open ended filter??
