I contacted Kymco Germany about ordering the side case racks, and told me to contact Kymco USA. Kymco USA told me they don't carry them.

Around reply #16 is some information on how to purchase racks that will accommodate E21's.

I stopped by the local dealer. I'm going to have routine maintenance done Saturday.  They're going to look into the problem. If it's the switch, and they have it in stock, they'll replace it If they don't they'll order it.

Ihad the same thing and i have replaced the switch for new ones not so expensive and no more surprises.

It seems my left brake starter switch has gone bad.

Does anyone know what is involved in fixing it, and how much it might cost?

Might it be easier to bypass it?

Any info appreciated.

Nice pics.

I originally ordered the same back rest and top case plate as you, but was told the plate, which showed in the online catalog, wasn't available, and then that the case wouldn't fit with the backrest. Ah, well...

The side cases look really good.

Do you think repainting would be cheaper than buying new plastic? I had to replace almost all of my plastic the second month I had my scoot. IIRC, it ran around $800 installed.

It is my understanding that plastic has, in essence, clear coat n it. How does polish get through that? BTW, I have a Red scoot. The Orange, Blue and black scoots looks to me like they wouldn't have the clear coat issue.

Has anyone had the plastic fade? I have to keep my X500 outside. Much of the time it is uncovered. I keep  it on the side stand. The side "up" is fading. Some of it is now a "deep pink", rather than red.

No updates from me, I'm afraid.

The mounts DaveRinPA made look very interesting. I was never able to find the vendor that Kymco Germany bought their sidecase racks from.
