Yager GT 200i / Re: CELP Light
« on: October 25, 2012, 02:38:27 PM »
Well crap, now I got a check engine light, solid, won't go off, I was riding up in redline zone, but not for long, ride was only 5 miles and would only drift in there once in awhile.

Haven't checked codes yet, just happened today, bike only harps a little over 500 miles on it.

oops, its my oil light, not check engine light.  My oil is full, I changed it a couple months ago and haven't put on many miles, ran the codes, i'm getting code 4, TPS (Throttle Position Sensor), have no idea why, will search other posts about the oil light if there are any

question, how do you reset codes?

I had bought a coil when mine did it, threw it under the seat just in case, here in new mexico you can be in places far from anywhere, don't need that

now you're talking, i pulled my plug, looks like it is burning rich, which would tell me the wrong air/fuel mixture, which is done by the ECU, but we're not talking a one-off thing here, means they have the wrong programming of the ECU.  I switched to a hotter iridium plug, will see how it does

i've been running 91 octane all along, but I doubt it is an injector problem if it does as mine does, only when it gets hot, as it runs perfectly under full acceleration the rest of the time

lets us know how it works out

Vivo, the other thing I noticed is that black plastic is not very resistant to chemicals, cheap plastic, I spilled some gas on mine and it discolored it.  The way the fill nozzle is setup, it is really hard to put in gas from the pump and not get it to overfill.

Yea I don't use torque values either, from tightening so many bolts on different machines, I go by feel.

i haven't gotten into the innards of the yager. what's the second picture showing me?

That's is the inside photo of the panel where the 12v outlet is installed,  it id the cylinder looking part with the wires coming out of it

I just wanted to show how much room is behind that panel

Did you remove all the panels or just the front one?

I was replacing some plastic, so had all the panels off.  To install where I did you will need to remove the front panel

Thanks

And yes, before anyone asks, I did do the work in the kitchen, it's way too hot outside and in the garage

Yager GT 200i / Disassembly of front end, not fun
« on: July 31, 2012, 11:21:09 PM »
Well, I bought my Yager for $1900 with only 107 miles on it, so got a killer deal.  The reason why is the older gentleman that had it dumped it over in gravel trying to turn, slow speed, so it scratched the upper and lower plastic, $184 shipped for both.  I did end up getting a new brake lever also, even though it had minor scratches.

So today I took apart the whole front end. I took some pictures, but not when I had the lower skirts off of each side, which I did.  Many screws in the front end, here are a couple of pictures so that others can reference, I can tell you exactly how to do it, the service manual sucks.

I just wanted to show some pictures for reference, you can see how to get to the headlight bulb, which requires you to remove the whole upper plastic and windshield, there is also another shield like unit behind the windshield.

Now my machine is like new, not a scratch on it.  Thought about keeping the other plastic, but I hate crap laying around.  Could try sanding it down and painting, I have the air compressor and spray guns, but I don't plan on dumping it anytime soon lol.

I just put in a 12v outlet, great place is right next to the ignition.

I wired back to the battery, fused.

Did you swap the bulb, I can tell you how to to it, I had all the front plastic off today.  It's slightly a pain.
