For me, half means approximately 1/3.

I used vinegar out of the bottle.  It removed a lot of the spots. Of course, not the scoot smells like a salad :-)

I'll have to find out if the sprinkler water is well or county utility. If it's  the same as the inside water, I may have to get some purified water to rinse next time.

I know this might sound insane, but some jeep softtop window cleaner works great on clear plasic.  I used it to clean my helmet too.  Its basically a light wax/polish.

Thanks, I'll give it a try, too.

Armorall, I use it on my windshield all the time, even though it says not to use it on a clear surface. Works great.

I'd never have thought Amorall would remove hard water residue. I'll give that a try too.

Vinegar dissolves calcium.

But will the vinegar harm the windshield. I'll give it a try. Thanks.

Filter your wash water.

And how do I filter the condo sprinklers?

Our condo has hard water in the sprinklers, and now I have hard water residue on my windshield. It is a stock clear tall windshield. Does anyone know of anything I can use to remove the residue?

I wonder when they're going to get here, and how much they'll cost.

... oh yeah, and how much weight they'll be able to carry. I'm around 250 lb at the moment.

K-Mart. 1-2 sizes larger than normal.  Cheap. Works.

I'll give the clear lacquer a try.

Never touched the red in the original picture. This last pic i took is a new fairing i bought a while back but just put on. It looks brand new in the front. However i did notice i may have to buff the rear plstics cause it does look faded. I keep my bike in the garage but has been through the elements for over 30000 miles.

How is buffing the rear plastic going to restore the color?

Did you install the front fairing yourself? If so, was it difficult? I am a mechanical black hole. If i pick up a wrench and walk around, things start falling apart :-)

I'd like to keep my scoot red, but I'm also considering buying new white plastic because faded white plastic won't look near as bad as faded red. I'm also looking into replacing all th little screws and bolts becasue of the factory ones rusting.

So this weekend i set out to make my 500ri. I painted some parts and popped a couple of stickers on it and....

Did you use any red paint, or did you just use the black? My deep red 500 is getting very close to pink in places.
