Agility 125 / My scooter won't electric start
« on: November 14, 2015, 01:24:24 PM »
Hi there,

I gonna need some help. I changed the handle bar on my kymco agility 125. For this I had to disconnect the front and the back brake wires. Unfortunately, I didn't memories which cable goes where. Stupid me. When I put them back together my scooter didn't start and there is no brake lights at all. I tried all variation to put the wires together but no avail.
With the kick start I can start my bike but the electric start doesn't work.
Does anyone have an idea what to check now?
I will try to attach a picture of the wire.

I have checked the fuses. But they seem OK.

Agility 125 / my moped doesn't start. is it a weak spark?
« on: November 27, 2014, 06:55:38 PM »
Hi there,

My moped won't start. My guess is that the spark is too weak. But i made a video and shared on youtube. What do you think about that? Is it weak? But compering to my working moped it's definitley weaker. But that one is a different model. I am not sure. The battery brand new fully charged. I have checked and cleaned the ground cable from the battery. The carb brand new done zero km. And the petrol gets there. Any idea?

Agility 125 / carburetor setting
« on: September 05, 2014, 09:44:20 AM »
Hi there,

I have a question about the carb. According the manual the pilot screw should be open by 3-3,5 turn. But....my problem is when I accalerate from nil SOMETIMES (not all the time) my bike hesitate a bit. Crackling for a half of a second and then rides smoothly. I have already cleaned the carb. It has 96 main jet and 104 the other jet. (I don't know what is called). The manual says it should be 95 and 105. But this is how I got this scooter. I am the 2nd owner and was nearly brand new. 2013 model with 3000 miles. Can anyone help how to solve this problem?

Agility 125 / weak spark
« on: May 29, 2014, 07:27:11 PM »
Hi all,
My friend has given me his bike to check it. It won't start. So, the first thing I checked was the spark plug. And I straight away noticed the the spark is very very weak. It could hardly be seen it. My first thought was the ignition coil. So, I took it off and swap it with a good one with no avail. Can the problem be with the cdi unit? My other thought was maybe the magneto. But how can i check it? Or any other suggestions?

« on: May 24, 2014, 06:45:56 AM »
Hi all,

I would like to do the valve clearance on my bike and T markmark on the fly wheel needs to be aligned with the index mark on the crankcase. But where is the index mark? I can't see it. Could someone point it out for me?
Thanks

Agility 125 / cdi unit
« on: May 22, 2014, 04:38:10 PM »
Hi all,

My lovley agility won't start. Buy its a bit funny. Because sometimes it does with one kick. But usually it is really hard and today after a test drive it seems dead. I have checked many things on it already and  now I checked the cdi unit according to the service manual and I got some silly numbers. So, it should be changed. But I am a bit ...concerned. I have a Vichy v97 ohm metre but according to the manual I should have a special one otherwise my measurement might be wrong.
Has someone ever measured the cdi unit with different ohm metre? Is it reliable?  Or is there any way to check the cdi?
I am getting good spark. is it means my cdi good?

Agility 125 / carburetor question
« on: May 16, 2014, 08:03:53 AM »
Hi everyone,

I have got a kymco 125 agility. I took off the carburetor to clean it and to inspect it more closely because at the moment it won't start. It fires up for a second couple of times but then nothing. I bought it like this yesterday. I checked the fuel system and the carburetor has plenty petrol. I took out the spark plug and it works perfectly and was fully wet with petrol. (Maybe too much) So, I took off the whole carb give a good clean. But surprisingly it was not bad at all. (The scooter has only 5000 km and 1 year old). I set the pilot screw, 2 and half turn. I don't know the position of idle screw. I gonna play with it. Or anyone knows?
Now I took off the auto bystarter and gonna check its resistance. The manual says it should be under 10ohm.
I checked the air filter. Nothing special. It is a bit wet of petrol. But I think it's normal.
BUT....
I found something on the carb. It is a some sort of electric part  close to the engine site connected to the butterfly valves next to the bystarter and in front of the pilot screw. I have tried to attach a picture of it but Itoo large. Does anyone know what is this and how to test it if it works? Could it be my problem?
If the bystarter will be fine I going to check the valve clearance.
Or Any advice what I can check?
