im looking for an engine for an agility 50. this super 8 4t engine looks exactly the same. will it fit? is the electrics compatable?

i know that it is a 139qmb engine with a long case for 12" wheel but what other scoots use the same engine?

just an update....

had phone call from shop the engine cant be welded, because of the chain tensioner. so i can either find a whole casting block for the cvt side, or a second hand engine...

at this point i dont know what to do... should i buy a new casting £109 or keep looking for a second hand one very rair. then strip engine my self( dont know if in up to that) but may have to... ( is this hard to do? any special tools i need etc)

or keep looking for another engine? just replace......

big problen the wife hates the scooter now...she wants to burn it :o. so any penies spent im in trouble....

im in the uk east midlands

any thorghts werlcome i want her alive again .......

Agility 50 / jets question

there is a lot of jetting questions at the moment so ill make it a little more complex...
 all the jetting questions are on the main jet, nothing mentioned about the idle jet...
seen on a fue shops books on jetting how to jet right etc. the main jet we know but , but they all mention re jetting the idle jet. i can understand this on a big scoot,but what about a 50 cc would it realy make any difrence? is it needed?....
 all the books clame a bost in power and torque.. as no one has mentioned this im thinking that it does next to nothing.
whats everyones thoughts?

Agility 50 / varaitor blown up

just a rant.... as you prob know the a50 is not running good. done 6 more plug chops today. from an 88 jet which was ok last week to an 95 jet today which half way through a loud noice and no transmition. looked down at the clutch cover pissing oil out. walked her home. took of the cvt cover and the varatior was lose and bits every where.took it all apart the varatior shims have gone so very sloppy on the boss. the stage 6 roller shims are flat on one side after 1 week i put them in only done 20 mile since.the folllowers on the plate are all broken. then narkau hq belt is slightly worn on one end thought that that had rubbed on the bendrix.

has anyone ever heard of this befor?

so it looks like its time to buy a multivator and try to get an oem belt. will ring the local kymco deeler and see if i can get oem belt.costing i could do with out

race cdi with  ADJUSTABLE ignition curve...
cheep variator and boss(smooth 38mm)... £17.50
roler weight set. at mo 5.5g...
torque spring 1500
clutch springs 1500
narkau hq drive belt...
leo vince exhaust....
after market air filter....
carb jet 90( plug chop is good but may try a 92 jet see if i can get perfect reading)...
just done oil change for fully sinthetic...
gear oil change...
new spark plug....
i think thats everthing

always leave engine running 10 min befor a ride.on take off its good to 20mph, then i have a slight incline up hill (but to look at its allmost flat ) it takes 1/4 mile to travle along this top speed is 30mph. then a junction so a near stop. another 1/4 mile gets to 30mph. another junction. the next step is a steep down hill slope 50 meters long at the start then is a good mile flat with a . on the flat it gets 45 mph ish. the rest is down hill steep. it gets 50mph.

in reverse coming back up the steep hill it does 20-27 max. on the flat 40-45, untill that short hill does 20-23mph the rest of the trip it gets 35-40.

im not expecting lots but hoped after all the mods that she would not go below 30mph( hoped when she got to 30 she would stay there.)

when i did the cdi and the boss it seemed almost the same as it does now( by that i meen i think its exactly the same ) been sort at talking my self into thinking its changed. am i missing somthing does this sound right?

well over the last week all of my post has come

monday
leo vince exhaust . fitted right away. if anything its too loud. my ears ring when i go for a run and stop. through a full face helmet thats some going. needles to say i love it. neibours hate it lol. i diss like the neibours. so its all good.

wedness day
new belt came naraku hq belt. mesured it, its 1" longer than oem, 2" longer than the  gates belt i had 2 week ago that held it in a sorght of hi gear( struggled to pull away). think the naraku belt is too long this time, i think its chaffing on the case( makes a noice like a rattle of keys or something, looked tonight and a bit if belt worn down on back of belt.

thursday( today)
fitted a new torque spring 1500 rpm(black). fitted new clutch spring, not sure on rpm, they were malossi clutch springs pack came with green/red/blue put the green springs in think these are 1000rpm or 1500. weakest in the pack but much thicker than oem. a quick test drive showed improve ment. faster aceleration  and keeps revs for longer. but still on steep hills dropps to 25mph avrage hill 30mph would like a bit better still some more playing planned. have gone for 5.5gram rolers so may drop them down a bit and see. on flat she gets 45mph ish down hill 50mph which im happy with.

friday (tomorrow)
i have an open air filter to put on and a box of carb jets to play with. will try a range of 89-92 see how the reacts with plug chops

my birythday coming up in middle of september. just found a leo vince exhaust has been orded by the misses. lol
well i know i sead i dont see the point in all that noice and not going anywhere but cant wate now. ill have to find a free air filter for the a 50
should look nice when she painted and all shiney

i want to change the colour of my agility. now i know on cars in the uk you have to tell dvla of the change so i would expect that on a scooter its the same. how do you do this? or does no one bother to report the change?

how much fluid do i put in?

i know most vehicles you fill to the inlet hole, read on net that a super 8 only fills half way up to the fill inlet. is this the same for the a50?
