Technical | How To / HOW LONG TO FULLY CHARGE BATTERY

I know someone out here has this answer. If I almost totaly discharge my battery getting my 2009 500 started how long would I have to run the bike to fully charge the battery back up to full? And would it make a difference in time if I was riding the scooter say at 45 mph? In other words would it charge faster? Thanks in advance

Help, I have a 500 with EFI and if I don't start it every day or two and the weather is cold it just cranks. I have no problem in warm weather. I have fully charged the battery and it it is extremely hard to start. I have good premium/fresh new gas in the tank. Anyone have any ideas? I am getting tired of taking battry out and recharging it. It will alwys restart once I get it started. Thanks in advance.

I stopped and filled my tank however when I started up the gas gauge went to empty and the gas light came on. I reopened and closed gas cap but that did no good. Gas is not leaking an tank is still full. When I rode it I hit abump and the gas light went out and the gas needle jumped to 1/2 full and then went back to empty. Does anyone know what happened or how to fix? I am driving a 2009 500CC bike.

I have a 2009 KYMCO 500 i/Ri that I would like to sell. It is the red and has 4000 miles on it. I have no idea what price I should be asking.  If you have any idea as to price or where I can go to check the price I would cetainly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

HELP! I recently moved and I am now 250 miles away from the nearest Kymco dealer. I have to change my oil and air filter and do not want to start the work until I have replacement parts on hand to do the complete job. Can anyone tell me the brand name and or part numer of an acceptable oil and air filter to fit my scooter. Thanks in advance

I have a 500i with just over 1000 miles. My front breaks squeek like crazy. How do I stop the squeek? It is embarassing.

Xciting 500 / DOES ANY ONE ELSE FIND THE SEAT HARD ON THE 500

I just rode 150 miles on my 500 and the seat was as hard as a rock plus it felt like I sliding toward the front of the seat all the time. Do others find the same problem or complaint? Has anyone found a cover or pad to put down on the stock seat. I am thinking about have a new seat made but the $$$ may be to much right now. Any help or ideas would be appreaciated.

Xciting 500 / Does your dealer have a hard time getting parts from Kymco / 600 mile check

Some person hit my new scooter in the parking garage. I had a report form the guards that they found it laying over on its side. It looks like someone tried to pull in the parking space and knocked it over on it right side AND THEN tried to pick it up and dropped it on ot left side and took off. We have alot of spring breakers here so that is who I suspect. I have the right hand mirror and muffler cover broken and the left had brake control bent and the cover near the back wheel broken off.

IT seems like my dealer, who will for now remain name less, has a problem getting parts or answers from Kymco. Have any of you experienced the same kind of propblem with your dealer/Kymco?  It has been a few weeks and parts are still not here.

I also have a second question I am about to take my bike in for its 600 mile check up, maintenace and the repair of the above parts. Do you have any suggestions that I should have the dealer look at besides what is called out in the owners manual. Also, do you have suggestions for items that should be added. I have seen some postings on 90 degree valve covers for the tires. and will look into those. I am sure that many of you have found items that should have been checked but were missed. Thanks in advance.

Hi I am new to this Form and a new 500 Kymco scooter owner and rider. It has been 50 years since I last rode a scooter or motoer cycle. I have my endorsement and I ride every day. Kymco was the only scooter that I found to have no negative comments about in the internet. I have had my scooter for 3 months. I look forward to learning a lot from this forum.
