   Well, I only have about 500 miles on my X-Town and it got christened today. I was in a small parking lot. There is a large storm drain right in the middle of it. It had some grass and weeds growing up around it. Unfortunately, I tried to go over it only to discover a 6" deep hole. The front wheel jackknifed, and I couldn't hold it up. Luckily, I only have a few scratches on the plastic, and they are all on the matte black paint not the decals. Does anyone know which brand of paint would give me the closest match to the factory?

     I want to get better acceleration from my X-Town 300i. Has anyone had the variator apart on their X-Town? I would like to know for sure what weight the stock rollers are. I bought a new set of Dr. Pulley sliders for mine. I thought they were 16g, but I just weighed them, and they are 15g. I don't want to go too light and kill all my top end. I don't want to pull the variator apart until I know for sure. I believe the stock rollers are part # MF-2-2-16, but I'm not sure that means 16g or not. If so, then 1g lighter would be just what I want.

Just saw the chart posted in the forum. It says my stock rollers are 17.5g. If so, how much top end will the 15g sliders kill?

       I just tried to clean the bugs off my Puig 6790H Puig windshield. In doing so, I managed to put minor scratches in it. I haven't ridden it yet to determine how bad the scratches bother my field of vision. I started checking online for a replacement if needed. Apparently, Puig doesn't make a 6790H windshield anymore. Are there any other X-Town 300i ABS owner out there with a different brand they could recommend for me if necessary?

    I finally figured out how to carry a water or soda bottle on my scooter. I bought a simple drawer pull and attached it to the cooling system fill cover. Now I can attach my beverage holder no problem. It's easy to reach when I stop for a drink. I can also use a small s-hook to hang a small grocery bag if I want.

   When I had my 600+ lb Harley I would have this problem occasionally. Now that I have a 400+ lb Kymco it happens more often. What happens is that the scooter isn't heavy enough to trigger the sensor in the road that changes the traffic light. You can sit there for several minutes, and the light doesn't change. I usually wait for 2 cycles, and then end up going through a red light. I don't know how kindly law enforcement will take to this if I ever get caught. Has this happened to anyone else?

   I installed new LED's and replaced the halogen headlights in my X-Town 300i. Very happy with the results. Now I just ordered a Shad light kit to mount on the Shad mounting bracket. I'm debating whether to wire it for running lights, or as a brake light. What are pros and cons of either?
