Np, i solved the problem. Fuse number 4 "15amp" was blown.

The Title explains it all fellas, need help on this one. Anyone else encountered this problem? Suddently my lights went out. Everything else seems to be in order.
Btw, the brake light cable was melted by the exhaust muffler and exposed the copper wiering, think this may have blown a fuse or something?
Any help would be great!

Position the camshafts so that the punch marks on the end are pointing up. Minimize the amount of slack in the cam chain between the camshaft sprockets. The lines on the camshaft sprockets must align with the cylinder head cover mating surface as shown.
Position the piston at TDC as with removal. See the Camshaft topic for more information. Align the "T" mark on the flywheel with the index mark on the right crankcase cover. This shows the piston is at Top Dead Center.
This is what my service manual says tho. If i allign cams and wheel like this the valves are open when the piston is at TDC: crushing them.

Installed new piston here the other day and managed to turn the cam and flywheel off position. I didnt note where they were previous eighter. I tryed timing the engine using a service manual for the UXV i found online. Without luck. It didnt even backfire. And that was the exact manual for my uxv.
Anyone done this before?, please share your experiences.

MXU / Similar engines?

Does anyone know if The Mxu and Uxv 500 have similar engines? More spesific: Do they share the same crankshaft, piston and cylinder? As im looking for a big bore kit suitable for the Uxv 500. They only make thoose for Mxu 500 by my knowledge. Thanks.

Anyone know if they ever made that kit aviable? Have been looking for a big bore kit to my uxv 500 to. No luck on google. Have mailed several kymco dealers etc, no one seems to actually even care about the subject.

Greetings. As fellow owners know uxv 500 do not dissepoint other than power.. "And the handbrake"
Im looking for a bigger engine 700-1000cc that would fit uxv 500 without major modifications.
Can anyone tell me/or do anyone know of a engine that im requesting?

Does anyone here have some experiense with increasing the engine cc? Drilling up the cylinder and install a larger piston. How much can you drill and increase? And what parts besides cyliner and piston would have to be changed?
Anyway, glad to hear the engine is the same as in the mxu.

Hello! Just registered here as i had no knowledge of a kymco forum before now. Great.
I became a proud owner of a uxv 500 a mouth ago, and it has been a bloody marvelous machine.
To bad kymco atv/utv's are not popular at all in norway, making it hard to get parts for it.
Thats why im here.
First order of business is to get a windshield for it. Ive seen they have some on ebay etc. but im looking for a shield that covers the whole front.
Alternativly, may other parts from brands like kawa, honda, polaris etc fit my kymco?
I also want to aquire this: KYMCO UXV 500 Hood Rack & Bush Guard Kit
Part # KM-1070-S "S System"
