People 150 / Re: 1.8 Gallon tank...uhm, no it's not
« on: September 19, 2010, 07:07:48 PM »
I've never hit dry, but I regularly fill over 1.6 gallons at pump. If you really want to fill it, rock it gently/slowly back and forth on the center stand when you think you're close to full. I've noticed the can traps a nice air bubble if you fill at the wrong angle.

On that note, does anyone else have a gas gauge that seems to like sitting on F until the tank is half empty?

People 150 / Re: Saddle cases?

Sorry to butt in on this late, got a pair of these from a local dealer about a year and a half ago and they've been fantastic. They fit on my P150 perfectly (backward) and still leave room for my chunkier passengers to comfortably reach the foot pegs. The storage space has been incredible.. I prefer to use a bungee net instead of a backrack add (for odd shaped loads, massive grocery trips, etc.) and the saddle bags provide plenty of places to strap my net down. As an added benefit they each fit a 6 pack nicely with a bit of extra room..

People 150 / P150 Favorite Motor Oil
« on: September 19, 2010, 06:22:07 PM »
Hi, everyone! I'm new to the forum, but not new to the People. I've happily spanked over 20k km on my 2007, but recently moved away from the big city and my favorite mechanic. Now I'm on an island.. literally.. I'm going to have to do most of the basic work on the bike myself.

Its just about time for the next oil change and I was wondering what everyone's favorite oil for the People 150 was, whether synthetic is better and why. Looking forward to being a bigger part of my bike's next 20k, would really appreciate some tips from the pros out there! (Especially tips from people who have had to maintain scooters in saltwater air!)

Salud!
