Wow, Snow already! That is the first report I've heard of it! Sorry to hear it, you would have loved the weather too. It is going to be in the 90s over the weekend and sunny. Arizona is definitely the land of year round riding.

BTW, showing some love for the Xciting! I am loving mine!

Xciting 500 / Aftermarket air intake
« on: August 08, 2009, 11:56:28 AM »
Has anyone tried the Big Air Intake from Dragon Customs on their Xciting 500? I was told that the carb needs to be re-jetted to make it work right, and that there might be a chance that it will not pass emissions. I am just looking for a better air intake that is easy to service.

Heard it will be an twin cylinder 800cc motor scooter named the Dink Street 800. It will have some crazy Enduro Motor that has become popular in other applications. They (BMW &  Kymco) are aiming at dethroning the Gilera 800 and Suzuki Burgman 650.

Will be picking up a 2007 500 new in the crate at a dealer in Austin Texas in aprox two weeks.Need all the help I can get,Its my first scoot, plan to do any work I can myself. First job will be a back rest for the passanger or a box with a back rest. I will ask the dealer if I can do the maintance work myself and not void the warrantyI live250 miles South of the dealer . Enlighten me oh wise ones.Thank You
 ;D
Man 250 miles south huh? Doesn't that put you close to Sea World and all of that Jazz? I would tend to think there is a dealer closer to you that can help. By the time that you drive it home you will be almost ready for the first oil change. I would let a dealer do that one since normally if you do not then the warranty is void. After that mostly everyone does their own stuff. You are going to love it BTW!

Interesting... Maybe I'll give that a go as well. There is normally too much traffic here, but not this summer. I might need it. lol

If you really want to have some fun, tie a blow up dummy on the back of you. you will really get some disturbing looks.Enjoy the ride!.

LOL! Thats not needed since we are allowed in the HOV lanes! Remember that movie "Mannequin"?

The faux fins are made of metal and there is really metal (aluminum) cylinders with huge jackets behind them. The bike also has 4 metal valves per cylinder in the aluminum metal head.

I wish they would start to use 4 valves in their other engines. I wonder why they have not yet.

Anyone have an idea if the Kymco Mobility products are available here in the USA?

For Sale / Re: K2007 seat needed
« on: July 05, 2008, 11:25:29 AM »
I am not sure if your seat is any softer, but mine is pretty darn firm.

Also the Kymco website says the seat height is the same for both scooters.

Too funny that they compare the styling to a 125cc scoot.
