This forum is great - thank you very much.  My only problem is lack of participation (and I have yet to find better btw) - I bought a ps250 this year and was looking for a forum that talked about that scooter - I found yours and was very excited, but as time goes along I find there is very little activity on that board.  I am guessing it is because there are not that many ps250's on the road.  I asked Kymco but they refuse to release numbers.  Anyone have info on sales figures for various scooters?

Again thanks for your effort here - I will remain a regular visitor.

Around 6000 scoots are sold in my country annually, 400 of which are Kymcos.
Kymco produces around 600.000 units per year.
... and I have P250S.

I recently read the Kymco produced 824,000 PTW and was hoping to exceed 1,000,000 this year.

Further....received helpful particular's on specific question's about Scootin Mechanic's etc.! I just wished that some of the people on here lived closer so that we can communicate in person at times. Pittsburgh, PA here.

Hi All.  This is a great forum.  I am very interested in the Downtown 300i and, along with my brother in law, will be getting a couple of them next spring.  We both think it will be a long winter waiting for spring.  I read that many scooter riders are loving riding.  So many nice people to meet and great rides to experience.  I can't wait.

If anyone can give a Newbie any advice on scootering on a Kymco, It would really be appreciated.  Shiny side up, everyone. :)

Yes, I am a newbie alright. I'm a 54 year old lady who owns and runs her own business, and parks the thing right out in front.
I've been riding my Agility 50 for a couple of years now, and  I'm getting tired of other lower class scooters speeding by me.
I'm not sure I'm up to the alteration mentioned , but I want to do something.
I have to admit, this site is a bit intimidating for someone like me. But I am anything but a quitter, so I'll read and post and read some more until I feel confident enough to do something about it.

First off you can adopt a more aggressive riding style, and see what your scoot is capable of. It's a Kymco, so you won't hurt  it, just mash that throttle and let her rip.

Once you know what your limitations are, you can work to remove them, even if you engage someone else to do it.

Or get an impact wrench from Harbor Freight and go Rosie the Riveter on it.

Hello everyone. Looks like this is where I introduce myself.  Just found this board about an hour ago, lots of good stuff here. Bought my '12 GTi300 in May of '13 for $4691 out the door. This is my tenth scooter. Love the bike. I'm a performance oriented person with almost 50 years of drag racing motorcycles. I like to know how fast something is, be it a little pit bike or the latest quarter mile king of motorcycles. I've got some input on the GTi 300 but will do it on that thread.

Hi,
Just wanted to introduce myself as a new member. I just bought a new CK1 125 off ebay that has been used as part of a display in a car sales showroom. I wanted to ask a question about the battery as there isn't one with the bike and I don't have an owner's manual or anything yet as the seller is mailing them to me, but there doesn't seem to be a section for this particular model so I wondered if someone could please tell me the best place to post my message. Thanks  ;D
Title: Re: Disclaimer - Please Read First!
Post by: zombie on February 10, 2015, 02:07:07 AM
Welcome.

There is no section for it yet but as a member you can click on Skadamo's name, and send him a PM asking for a new section to be added.
He's a very friendly guy, and won't bite.
Biting is my job...

In the mean time post up in the General section, and everyone will be happy to help you out.

Cool looking bike by the way.

Thanks Zombie,
I think I've managed to find the answer to my question about the battery but, not being particularly mechanically minded, I'm sure I will have many more in the future, so I will take up your advice and ask Skadamo to add a new section for that model. Thanks for your welcoming message and your kind comments about the bike. I think it looks cool too!

Hi there,
I have another question about the battery on the Kymco CK1 125! Does anybody know what type of battery is fitted on this bike? I'm looking to get a battery charger ready for when my battery arrives so if anybody could recommend a suitable charger that would be great. Thanks  ;D

You can mount it right into the bike, and plug it in if the bike is going to sit for some time (3 weeks or more)

Why don't you move your posts out to the general section until Skad see's your PM. This place runs on member power, and He doesn't always see PM's right away.
It will make your posts more accessible to all of us.

Hi, everyone I just wanted to say this forum looks real informative and fun. I just bought a used 2010 125 Agility, it only had 306 miles on it, it bee fun to drive. I did notice that the left rear turn  signal was real loose, but did not see easy way to get too it to tighten. Can someone advise me on procedure. or have a link to a break down. I would appreciate it. Love the scoot. New to forums. I am learning who said old dogs can not learn new tricks. thanks

Welcome aboard Mr.Funn

Just copy your post to the Agility 125 forum/threads/whatever it is, and I'm sure you'll get a bunch of help with it.
Most of the simple stuff on these scooters is puzzle related.
You have to figure out which piece comes off first, and where they hid the fasteners.

Just bought a used Super 8 w/ 4,000 miles.  Great price w/issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Problem #1: Front lights do not come on.  Bulbs & wiring okay.  Rear lights come on as they should when engine is running.  Light wires feed into a control box of sorts (KYMCO D411) Does anybody know what a 411 is?  Also. rear running lights stays on when engine stops. (obviously killing the battery.)  Problem #2: Kick start works fine.  Usually starts with just one kick.  Electric starter does not work.  There is a slight switch noise emitting from the battery area when the starter switch is engaged.  There is a black elecrtical box next to the battery (KIMCO # 30410-2019.)  Does anybody know what that does. Could that be the starter issue?  New battery installed. Thanks for any help.  Lawrence

Hello!
Just bought a 2009 Kymco Super 8 150 cc from a guy on craigslist for $150.00. It looks brand new, guy says it's the transmission went bad, I know it's the drive belt. Currently in a conix box at my job waiting for the weather to get warmer before tearing into it. Has 2995 original miles on it. Will post pics soon. Yellow and blue. Look forward to talking with other forum members and seeing what I can do to spice up my Super 8. (Update):  Well a few days have gone by and the weather isn't too cold. Got to take the side cover off to see what the belt looked like. To my surprise it's a new belt, guess when the previous owner put on the new belt he forgot to install the varitor  bolt on the drive shaft :P The varitor  stripped off about 3/4 of the splines on the front half. $29.95 for the part and $1.50 for the new 12mm bolt.  and a few other parts. Not bad for a craigslist find that was local ;D Total for all the parts with shipping is going to cost me $70.39. Oh by the way I'm in Canton, ohio

I have a Kymco Sento, and not always sure where to post messages since Sentos are not listed.  I'm fairly certain that a Sento is mechanically the same as the Agility, but not 100%.  Is it possible for KymcoForum to add Sento to one of the model groupings so that we Sento riders would know where we are?  Thanks!

New to the forum. Thanks for making an exchange of information possible. Long time gone from the days of library research and intermittent manuals. Purchased recently a Kymco Agility 50. First scooter. Last of any type was a Honda Goldwing so this is slightly lower on the hp. I have to admit however I cannot see a time in the future where I will not have a scooter. An absolute blast.
Ride well, stay safe.
