Title: Kymco downtown 300 spare key

Hello it's me again,i lost one of the scooters keys.

I would like to know where is can buy/make a spare one(i am located in the uk)

my scooter key is like the one in the attachment

To do a duplicate is easy, but that security lock for the ignition would be a PITA. Try going back to your dealer.

@Kneeslider: i was able to find the plastic thingy that goes on top of the key( i had to order it from an ebay seller from taiwan), if that works for opening the shutter its fine.

Now i will be looking for a key to fit in the keyholder.

I f i just want the key and not the plastic bit, what should i do: bring the original key toi a locksmit so that he can make a copy? also does the key have specific code or a its a generic type of key?

I beliece the lock smith would have a blank key to suit.

Doesn't that plastic thingie work as a lock nut for car wheels where the shape is different for each bike?

Never thought it would be a generic shape for all DTs.

Ah, then sourcing a blank and having it cut at the lock smith would work.

i shall try that one.

Now i'll be careful with my last key, any idea where i could find just the key(uk )? does it have a specific model/serial number?.
For now i found some key blanks on ebay(us).

The DT300i and the People GTi300 use the same ignition lock and key. You could order a replacement key from any dealer IF you have the key code number. Lacking that you can get a blank from any dealer and have a locksmith cut one to match the one in your pocket. Some locksmiths may even have the blank without the plastic.
