Title: Oil Leak from the bottom
Post by: ptingib on November 23, 2017, 12:54:31 AM
Hi can anyone help,  i did an oil change and instead of just taking out the nut on the side i took out the bolt at the bottom.  i cleaned it all and everything was ok except the plug/big bolt actually cracked and as such when I put it back its was not a complete sealed unit and it drips all day on my drive losing oil.

what is the best sealant, glue or paste i can use to cover the cracked item and hopefully stop the leak.  ive got an mark II xciting 500 ri,

cheers for any advice

Thats the best fix for sure Jeeves! The item can be found at KymcoPartsMonster. If I am correct, it is part #11332-KED9-900. I would replace the O-ring also.

Also, take a look at the GY6 OIL SCREEN FILTER on ebay. It might be the same....and prices range from $3 to $10 for the 4 pc. kit. Good idea to keep a spare kit in the tool box since these all seem to be made out of poor quality metal.
Freq. fail due to having been overtightened.
