Hi all.. New to the forum after being the proud owner of an agility 125... Question is.. I got it as a non runner.. I'm about ready to start it and just noticed 3 random wires right next to the carb.. One green which I presume is earth.. A purple and red and a purple and black does anyone know what they are for??
-
These are the wires of TPS(Throttle Position Sensor) .
-
Explains why it won't start then.. I have bought a gy6125 carb that looks to be some sort of copy, it has no tps or anything.. What can I do?
-
Also I'm a little confused the more I read this... It's a 2012 kymco agility city.. I purchased as a non runner and it came with what looked to be a throttle body that did not fit.. I now have a carburettor as I noticed a vacuum tap and did a little digging.. Are they in fact fuel injected or on carb?? The carb fits both in and outtake perfectly.. But I also do have tps wires.. Is it a system similar to the new Aprillia rs 125 with a carb and a tps?

Many thanks pal... I have some mechanical knowledge however after owning about 30 bikes.. I've never owned a 4 stroke.. Or a moped so all the usual.. sh** I don't know what I'm doing while running round with my hands on my head moment is now over.. Carb ordered.. Lesson is don't buy cheap copys

It can work without the TPS. It is important that the carburetor enters the flange .
-
What do you mean pal sorry... I'm not 100‰ familiar with the whole concept I've tried connecting the wires together etc but no joy if you hold the throttle in a certain place it coughs and sounds like it will fire but then kills the battery
-
Wires to isolate. Ler gas boost to 2000. I think it should work. :-\
-
Yeah I'll play about with that fluffle valve n all. LOL!
-
Seriously though is it just as simple as isolating some wires?
-
Tell us what you did and let the scooter work well
-
Lol are you being serious.. All I get is someone taking the mick. .. Noone knows nothing??
-
As a rule, if you put a replacement carburettor without TPS, you should also change the CDI. I hope to make it clear to you.
-
Yes thanks... I've noticed though that it's not plug and play.. Are replacement cdi units hard to wire in.. I have a few here and think I will Try it

HI,
Forget changing the CDI. Forget the TPS sensor and just leave the wires hanging free. Fit the old or new carb. Set the idle screw 2 turns out from fully screwed in. Make sure you have good clean fuel in the tank. Make sure you have a vacuum line to the fuel tap to open it when cranking the engine. fit a vacuum line to the carb fuel pump (on the side of the carb). Connect the auto choke connector and give it a go. Use the electric starter rather than the kick start.
Good luck. ;)

Here's an electric scheme(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170927/76602ef2f3aead26b882755fd2123d02.jpg)
