Funny, it was from my B400 that I moved up to my first Goldwing and had a similar feeling about that vintage 85 LTD 1200. Just couldn't wrap my mind around the all gold color. Glad you like this one Tom. Every bike is unique and speaks differently to every rider.

Ya gotta love the variety available from all the manufacturers! Everyone should be able to find one that is just right!

I think there may be something to the notion of enjoying a simpler machine that isn't so complicated. I can't speak for you, but I have passed up opportunities to upgrade to a larger scooter simply because I enjoy having a bike that is so easy to work on and doesn't have so many other systems to go wrong. Perhaps simplicity brings contentment? Or it could be that it's just a fantastic, fun scooter, period. Either way, enjoy that little red bike!

I can attest to that, I normally (not always) ride the burger well within the speed envelope of the HD. Of course it does have the advantage that if you do need to boot it home it's capable of getting a ticket on pretty much any road.

After sitting nearly 2 months, my SW came to life on Saturday as we spent the whole day together doing construction bids, hanging at my fav coffee shop and perusing Lowe's with Deb for a new kitchen faucet. Everytime I ride this jewell I fall in love with it. And, I must beg to differ as it's also fun to ride fast...but Saturday was my slow and poky day to just cruise and enjoy.
