I just looked online at the price of a drive belt. The website listed a drive belt for $188.. That is $88. more than I paid for the last one I bought.
Where is the best buy on drive belts June 2017, from a reputable dealer?.
I thought over time the price of belts would come down, not go up.

This place has much better prices. Same belt for a GTI 300 and a Downtown 300i

Hold on there, riders! The belt housing for the CVT on the People is longer, I think, than the Downtown because of the wheel size.

I think you should go for it, Karl! :) Please post pictures!

Can you imagine saddle height of a DT with 16" wheels?

Both belts the same, so the transmitting ratio must be different?
-
Gotta be different, YJ! That bigger wheel has to turn slower for a given engine speed.

Look what I found for less than 40 bucks. Think It will last over a service period? I'm tempted to buy. What do you think?

Go for it. Let us know when you do get it, how long it took to come in since it comes from China. Something of that size probably comes by air.

Had to replace the belt on the DT300I at 20000 miles because of overheating. The Memphis dealer gave me the deal of the century: 99 bucks, no shipping! Maybe your dealer would do the same....

Today's belt price is $188
Whoa what a spanking! A taiwan Ebay dealer has OEM belts for $83. Ebay out of Taiwan is kind of risky so I will stick with the USA prices to be assured genuinity.

Take a look at ebay sellers record.
Might be very valid price from country where belt is made (Taiwan )
Gotta believe those belts did not cost $188 to make.
Taiwan is the new made in Japan quality on a whole lot of stuff.
If he has good ebay feedback, and part has correct Kymco label & part #.... that's all I'd need.
Just my opinion
