Wow, that's less than my local dealer is asking for the 1st Gen. LIKE200I  on his sales floor. Then again, these guys ask $7999.00+ set-up, etc. for a 400 Burgman.
Not likely to see the new LIKE for awhile around here...unless he truly has sold off all the old ones these past months. Salesmen had no clue a new version was coming....

Thanks Robo for the info.
Like all the colors!
You probably know off the top of your head....what are the HP ratings of the old 163 vs the new 150 LIKE?
I like that the fuel tank is no longer up high...sitting above the engine (not that you'd  ever be trapped in your burning LIKE)...but getting weeight lower is good. Battery now is going to be high  -  oh well, can't get tank & battery low I  guess.
Looking forward to this new LIKE.
Hope the seat is comfy....it is a handsone part of the scooter.
Ride safe over there....

Interesting how they select names for the new models.
How is it they make that determination ???

Among my favorites has always been the Chevrolet Nova, which just doesn't translate well for a significant part of the auto purchasing population.

Yet I have heard positive things about the Honda Grom...

Seems there is even less I understand each day.

Spade is a cool name, however I don't really like the smaller wheels much. That's why I didn't get a grom otherwise Honda would be my go-to.

Urbestfriend is going on one year with a 2017 Kawasaki Z-125.  I still have the Xciting 250,  No market here for my Grandvista so it's in Virginia with my son.  I'm 67 now and the bigger bikes were too hard to pick up if they fell over.  I chose the Z-125 because of the larger gas tank and cheaper than the Grom.  This bike is extremely nimble,  goes 55 and 63 with the wind at my back.  It was hard learning the clutch after 60k riding Scooters.  No issues with the smaller tires.  Being a Loyal Kymco Fan,  I wished I had known about this new Spade.  150cc's would have really put me in the ball park.  I-69 is being extended through here on an existing state highway.  Two to Four Lanes with many differences in pavement during construction.  Handles well.

Ya, I'm getting into this naming bikes after hand tools thing! Spade, huh. Will they come out with a 50cc Trowel? 100cc Pitchfork? Or maybe my favorites, the 50cc Little Hoe and the 500cc Fat Hoe?

The body for the Like obviously looks different but the hp for that motor, wheelbase and everything else is REALLY close to the Kymco Movie. But this will lost about 500 less msrp than the Movie did. That's a really good price for this scooter. Looks-wise it can't compete with the SMax or the PCX150, but price wise, definitely.

If there was a Kymco dealer left in my area that actually had Kymco's on the floor, I'd consider it.

But where the new LIKE150i really stands alone is the two wheel ABS !
Still amazes me that the can add ABS and LEDs for this price!

I had a chance to check out and sit on both of these today.

.

The Like was a little cramped (I'm 6-2) but I could live with it.

Glove box with charging outlet.

Lots of underseat storage.

Nice looking scooter.

If I didn't already have two small scooters I'd consider one of these.

They also had a tricked out spade:

Thanks a bunch for the pix - esp of the new LIKE!
It DOES look tiny with you on it ....certainly no room for a passenger. At least not for Americans.
But then only a small % of these will go to us Gringos.
Really like the lines of the LIKE....and combined with ABS it is a super value at that list price!
Salesman phoned me at home the other day....he can get me a "new 200 from the warehouse!".
No idea how he knew my name or phone #....I explained again that I already have a 200, and was interested in looking at the 150 when he fets one. Told him it was chosen scooter of the year (I forget by whom).
Wow, he said he'd get the boss busy on getting some. I Mentioned that perhaps they're not in N America, yet.

I would definitely be interested in both of those, if I was in the market for another small scooter. Darn Like won't break!
Be careful out there Klaviator. Look out for Nate. He is heading your way.

Looks like the Kymco web page is finally updated. They dropped a lot of old models but weirdly enough they list both the Like 150i and Like 200i are both listed.

That's because both the Like 150 and 200 will be available for 2018. not sure if the Like 200 will be available for 2019 though. Confirmed through my dealer.

Yep, the 200i is one of Kymcos most popular products. And even at $2500 they are still making a profit  on each one - being built in a factory in mainland China probably has a lot to do with that.
Some might not be aware that Kymco initially priced the LIKE200i years ago at @$3300. My dealer said he sold quite a few at that price. This must have pushed the on the road price to $4000!

Just seems like you get a bit more for only $100 msrp more with the 150i. Perhaps people will buy the 200i over the 150 thinking there is some great change in displacement.

Yep. No telling how the salesmen will describe the two scooters. Would be surprised to see them shown at the same time on a dealer floor.
Just hope they stop pushing the LIKE200I as freeway capable!
Kymco is pointedly stating the new LIKE is "full access roads" capable....while we know a freeway/interstate highway as be a "limited access" road.
Frankly, the new LIKE seems better in every way than the first generation scoots. Perhaps that Vespa/Lambretta clone look will keep selling the 1st gens? Especially if it on the floor with a $7000 Vespa nearby!
Amazing how much more power they are getting from fewer cc's in the new engine. Certainly my 155cc Liberty is losing nothing to my 163cc LIKE200i engine.
