Cold weather coming again to Ohio - so used a warm day to change the oil and go for a sunrise ride to Library's night drop-box and then out for coffee from the top case.
(Brake is not on in this pix....that's the normal running light on the Bestem case.)

Can't get by this intersection without a pix.

And then for a coffee stop....with broccoli parking brake on.

Nice shots of your morning adventures, Stig. Love to live vicariously through you when my stuck-in-the-garage-because-of-cold-weather scooter can't take me out on my own.

I give up. Whatsa "broccoli" parking brake?
Karl
PS: nice pix as usual!

I had to Google it, but apparently its a rubber band taken from a batch of broccoli and wrapped around the brake lever.....

Great pix Stig! Good perspective shots. It looks like a real nice place you live in.

Karl,
As you're aware the Kymco boys commissioned an Italian design house for the LIKE200i.
Also, note that the 200i is not equipped with a parking brake as fitted to the 19th century rear drum brake of the LIKE/50 - but has instead a nice disc back there.
So, in keeping with the Italian design, they contacted these folks in the Upper West Side of NYC, for a proper Italian veggie parking brake enabler. (they also sell nice fishes, etc.)

This packet of parking brake enablers, with instructions, is found under the seat in the owner's manual zip-lock bag in all new LIKE200i's. A simple over-the-brake-lever-grip wrap secures your scoot - (https://s22.postimg.org/nyqhxr569/brocc1.jpg) (https://postimg.org/image/qstnb77cd/)
Other uses include :

Note, there are Chinese knock-offs of these brake enablers - but, as usual, if it does not have the Kymco part # seen above - the knock-offs can and have lead to some sad endings for hill-parked LIKE's.
So, now you know. If it ain't by the Zingone Bros. - it ain't genuine Kymco!
