Can you elaborate further regarding changing clutch components?  Are there any other performance mods that you know of?  Just got a 2017 Mongoose 270cc for my family for Xmas.

If you are still asking, the solution for number 1 is to get it back to a 300 by changing the clutch boss.  Get the boss for an early Mongoose 300 and use that.  Loads of difference.

You can put an exhaust on it, change the carb to a Mikuni VM 32 and take the air box lid off. Look at some previous forum postings, I listed clutch components for it. You can put on a web cam or a naraku cam too. It says you need a big bore kit, but you don’t. I emailed naraku and they gave me the okay on a stock mongoose 270/300.
