Title: recommended luggage/saddlebags for People 250
Post by: ktb300 on February 22, 2016, 05:22:35 PM
Hi,

Relatively new to the scooter forum. I have a 2006 People 250. Bought it used and it only has around 7500 km.  I have been using it to commute and generally run around town. However, this summer I am going to take it on a 5000 mile trip. Need some advice on luggage...any suggestions are welcome..

Thanks
Katie

No recommendations but I do want to keep an eye what others suggest.

You might want to post this general question in the General Forum since this is not scooter specific, you would probably get more responses.

Just want to say i hope you keep us posted about your trip and post some photos after!

By the way, you have some space on the floorboard between your knees, to hang a bag.

There's a couple of pics of my old P200 with saddlebags and top case in this old thread.

Those bags do look great. I ordered them. Can't wait to place on my scooter. I ordered a tail bag as well. Looking for a top case... Considering the Givi 370 or Shad SH45....Anyone have a top case they really like?

I just acquired a shad sh45 and find that the mounting plate is wider than the givi one, meaning more stability. Also, a great bonus is the way try the shad lid can be closed (not locked) without requiring the key.

I know this is an old thread, but I just bought a People S250 and was searching for saddlebags. This pictured showed me exactly what I needed to know. Here's my scooter with Sedici Toscana saddlebags.

How did you rig the cup to hang up front?

LOL...I'm in Texas and my friends call that my redneck cupholder for my Yeti. I have completely forgotten what the twist ties are called that I made it from, but I bought them at Home Depot. I have to run by Home Depot today, so I'll look and see what they are called and post a close up pic.

BTW, I've had my Sedici saddlebags on my scooter for close to 3 months, and they're perfect!

I believe Stig has a Bestem 929 with the built in leds on the back of his scooter. In my opinion it is a great rack for the price. I have a Bestem 2012 on the back of my Helix because I liked the option to have colors. The Bestems are a good bang for your buck option.
