Has anyone upgraded or changed their hand grips for some thicker ones, if so which ones. When I ride now my left wrist gets sore. I tried loosen my grip, but I think the small pot holes is the problem

Rather than replacing the OEM grips, you can buy foam grip covers that slide over your existing grips. I installed them on my wife's and my Like 200's and they work great. Also, you may want to replace the stock handlebar end weights with heavier ones. The heavier the end weight, the less vibration you'll feel.

thanks, which bar ends did you use, oh never mind, i just realized you said a Like, but thanks, about to order the foam grips, never thought about that.

They are off a Kymco People 250. You can order them from your Kymco dealer. Here's a pic of the small OEM end weight on my Like 200 and the heavier People 250 end weight on my wife's Like 200. If you order longer (heavier) end weights, make sure you also order the longer mounting screws.

ok i have the grips, now i need some heavier ends, i wonder if the ones will fit off a exciting 500, and what size to get if i go aftermarket
-
do you know the size of the people 250 bar end weights? cause i can get some universal ones
-
They should fit a standard 7/8" handlebars. Which ever ones you buy should have the same "shoulder" as the original ones. The "shoulder" is the side of the end weight that goes into the end of the handlebars.

thanks, i appreciate the help, i ordered some grab on

Just installed the Grab On Grip Covers on my 2006 People 250. The correct size was the 4.25" grip cover that fits 1.25"-1.50" OD at least on my model. Did have to use some sharp scissors to cut a small amount off. Sprayed hairspray on the entire inside of the grip and slid them on. They fit perfectly. I bought them off Amazon through Longhorn Moto.
