Spent a little too much on my new NOLAN helmet (pix later)-- but this place had very good prices for our anniversary dinner in Florida.

One of the nicer 50's I saw. The vast majority of the many scooters I saw looked like internet 50's (but were likely from local dealers) and most looked sun-burnt w/about 1500 miles on them.

Finally found my LIKE200i down here...10,600 miles on it. Salt air is tough on 'em. Lost his muffler cap; orig. front tire, new rear. Lost a screw or two - holed seat cover - but wanted to shake the hand of a LIKE owner who sat that seat for 10K+ miles!!

This is a great post Stig. I almost feel like I'm sitting beside you. (don't look to your left). You picked a tough time of year tho. It's getting microwave hot.
Just a few tips so you don't stand out as a tourist...
As soon as you relocate, scooter maintenance goes out the door.
You learn where to safely buy sugar in 50lb sacks.
Those fancy Hawaii shirts become the good napkins, and you learn how to smoke, stuff, then deep fry birds... Not take pictures of them.
The girl in the fish is accurate.
We swim in the back of pickup trucks lined with tarps. If you want to surf... Grab a rope, and wait for rain (about 4:30PM every day). Someone is always drunk enough to drag you around behind said truck.
Why we have 49 extra states I have NO idea.

Coco and Calypso are both big bosomed mannequins......
They've been standing out there causing fender benders on the street for a couple of years.

PS: Ohio gets miserably hot & humid every summer.....but we don't have the ocean, ocean breezes and pools to cool us off.
Been going to Florida this time of year for 10 yrs.....lived there for 8 yrs as a kid. Love it.
Gotta be 100% cotton -- I knew a guy who exploded in DaNang wearing a polyester shirt (or maybe it was in Phu Bai).
