Title: Replace sparkplug with Pics
Post by: Atl Mikey10 on December 13, 2013, 02:28:25 AM
I need some pics to show me how to change the plug in my Xciting 250.

The owners manual doesn't seem to think pics are necessary.

Thanks in advance !!

Mikey

You can track it down more on the left front of the engine.   Get down on the ground and look underneath.   If you don't want to do this,  then I'd recommend removing the seat and MET box.  This will give you an idea how everything is located.

Seriously...  get on the left side of the bike, drop to your knees and look.  Then it's lefty-loosey.  If that's too difficult you'd better take it to a mechanic.

Because it's Christmas, and I am bored as hell here are two obligatory pics.  The spark plug is the white thingy with the black thingy attached to it.  Pull off the black thingy to expose the spark plug.

Hey ATL Mikey10...Did you get this figured out?  The reason I ask is quite often we never hear about a solution or experience that can be shared.  Don't feel bad about your question.  Any stab at a maintenance issue is an education.   I've only taken one of my 6 Scooters to a shop once and they adjusted the sensor, but rerouted the speedometer cable wrong stretching it.  It only cost me $90.00.

You know, you might want to 'Man-Up' your technical posts a bit. Just sayin'
(I know what is needed in your frozen neck of the woods ....an indoor scooter track.)
Stig (snowed after I got to work today.....made for a bit of sport on the ride home. Stupid weatherman!)
