Title: windscreen for 2012 Kymco Xciting 500
Post by: bobyhit on August 26, 2013, 06:57:40 PM
Just purchased a 2012 Kymco Xciting 500. Can't find a windscreen for it. I heard the 2009 thru 2011 windscreen mounting holes line up but there is a problem with the handle bar hitting windscreen on tight turns. Anyone have a suggestion on what windscreen might work?
Mine came with a low dark tinted one that does not offer much wind protection at 70 mph on the interstate.
Thanks all

I own an '09.  I purchased the bike used, it has an '07 windscreen on it.  It works fine.

I have an 07. The stock shield was ok, but I bought the big Givi. It is huge, but it has cut aways built in it & the mirrors do not hit it. The Givi stops you from being beat up by the wind at freeway speeds. This is why I bought it. :-*

Can not speak about original as my 2010 came with large givi and it does great job of eliminating wind and no helmet buffeting ( I only wish the factory windscreen on my Suzuki Boulevard worked as well )  and is very easy to install.  I always ride with helmet and with the sun not out I can ride with visor retracted with no fear of bugs or road debris to eyes and face.  If you do not have one -  get one.

Thanks everyone. I will investigate the 07 windscreen first. If that doesn't pan out I'll get the Givi but will have to cut it down. I like to be able to look just over the top of the windscreen.
