Amazingly, the over-rev light did not come on!
There's a small (maybe 1/8th of a mile long) but steep hill near where I live that has been my "top speed test" area and this is the first day that I have actually been able to keep it held wide open till the bottom. Usually traffic stops me but not today. So at the bottom of the hill the speedometer registered 70 mph! This is with the air box mods, plus 1 size rear tire, and 12.5 gram roller weights. I was in a full tuck too.

You have a over-rev light ? Never seen one on a small scoot.

The "over rev light" is the check engine light. If you hit the rev limiter, the check engine light will light up. Once you lower the engine rpms, the check engine light goes out.

Why would it over rev if it has a rev limiter? ::)

Why would it over rev if it has a rev limiter? ::)
Going down a steep hill at full throttle. You can do this in a car in a lower gear and you will over rev a motor. I've personally done this at the race track with an old car of mine. Go down hill at full throttle, in say 2nd gear. The momentum and acceleration of the vehicle will over ride the rev limit and force the motor to over rev unless you hit the brakes or push in on the clutch(speaking of the car, not the scoot). I see no reason why this would not happen in the scooter as well.
But either way, I did not hit the rev limiter at 70 mph. So, once the exhaust is opened up and maybe run some even lighter rollers than my current 12.5 gram ones then it should gain a bit of top speed on level ground.

Hope you were wearing a parachute. (240lbs of spot welds and plastic on 12" rims doing 70mph - you're really stressing your angels, you know)
Yeah, I'm the guy with the 35mph 'happy speed'

Hmm, my best is 96km/h which is a tiny bit under 70mph. Nothing done. But wondering if somewhere is a cdi and/or variator which would help ;-)

The Naraku cdi box nro: NK390.30 should be ok for Like 200i. (http://www.racingplanetusa.com/unit-naraku-unrestricted-kymco-like-agility-super-4stroke-p-12842-1.html?sessID=81a39f5f5a20cec20020363b16b1b116)
Any comment?

No comment. Ok. There where the cdi is on 50cc -there is nothing. Where the cdi-box is on 200i?

That sounds like it's for c carborator scooter?
-
The CDI box for the 200i (or CPU in this case- because of the fuel injection) is located right on the intake/throttle. Removing the seat/tray/box will reveal it.
-
Yes, found it from manual.
Seems like there is no version of that on Naraku's and others supply.

Actually, 96 kph is around 60 mph. 100 kph is 62 mph. 70 mph is 112 kph according to a speed calculator.

Yes, You're right. If I would get the 112kmh, I'd be very happy!

OK, help me out here - I'm the typical one-tongued Gringo....
This French speaking fellow just cut this wire (on a LIKE 50cc ??) and sealed the ends from moisture - Why?
What does this accomplish?
-
Congrats on 70 :D

He did cut away the rev-limiter wire on cdi. He got plenty more speed.
