Title: How to tell model year?

O.k. last one guys. 
How does one find the model year with only the scoot itself as a reference?

If it's serial number is it as simple as the year will be part of the number?

Is there any difference between a 2012 and 2013 super 8?

It tells on your VIN number. Try http://www.vin-decoder.net/vin_RFBT7S3797B340259 (http://www.vin-decoder.net/vin_RFBT7S3797B340259) just put your VIN in and it tells you the year.
