Title: Normal sounds

Here's what I have:
1. Kymco Xciting 250.
2. Runs great
3. Has a noticible whine that starts at about 32 mph and continues until I can't hear it at about 50.

Here's what I have done.
1. Pulled variator to check the weights. everything looks good.
2. Pulled clutch just to check and make sure everything was cleaned and also checked to make sure the springs were all intact.
3. Cleaned all pulleys.
4. Bike has about 700 miles on it and the belt looks good obviously.

Bike is under warranty still, but I was hoping to either find something obvoiously causing the noise, or know that this noise is normal.

You could try putting a very small amount of baby power on the belt and see if that stops the noise.  If it does then it is a belt squeak.  The miles are low enough it might just need more break in.  You could also run it with cover off on the center stand to try to determine the noise location.

I vote to check the "transmission" oil to make sure something is in there.
