Title: People 50 did 50...MPH.

I rode a people 50 yesterday, the owner said it was stock.....anyway it got up to 50 mph pretty quick I did not think a stock 50 would do that. It was a 2 stroke...are they that much faster than the 4 strokers? Are the speedos any where close to being accurate, most motorcycles are off about 10% so I figured this was also, even 45 seems fast for a stock 50!

I had an old Motobecane 50V that would do 50 mph no problem with the stock engine. Don't know how.

I don't buy it, no if it had work done maybe yes. Note I have no first hand exp. yet my Honda spree only did 30-32 mph, can't imagine a 2 s getting 60% or better speed.

A derestricted People 50 (2-Stroke) can do 45MPH all day long. But then again, that depends on the persons weight. My bet he was doing 44-45MPH
