hello, on my 2013 downtown 300i, I notice when i'm at a stop and I pull my rear brake handle, the scooter starts to vibrate some, only the rear brake, not the front, seems kind of wierd, anyone else have the same problem?

What happens if you squeeze harder on the rear brake?

At rest, the engine vibration is being damped by the engine mounts...so less vibration is felt...
Since the engine is connected to the CVT which is directly connected to the rear brakes... when you pull the rear brake lever.. you are actually creating a direct or solid connection from the lever, which is connected to the handle bar, to the brake line, to the CVT and to the engine...

Yes mine does same. I find that rear brake transmits engine vibration that is what you feel. If engine vibrates allot try using premium gas and maybe an once or two of SeaFoam. that usually does the trick and my engine runs smooth but you will always notice a difference from front to back brakes on, as engine vibration transfers.

Next time you ride, try this: hold with front brake only. Betcha the vibrations go away. Switch and hold with rear brake only. Betcha vibes are back. What I think is happening is with rear brake only the front forks are free to vibrate in resonance with the idling engine. Holding front only the engine will not jiggle the forks since they are "tied" to the weight of the whole machine.

yes temeculadon mine does the same thing only at a stop sign or light if i press the back brake it vibrates

Or is it from the belt, or the pulleys? But what is causing the vibration, is what Vivo said back on July 24th. The front forks are not vibrating in resonance because the vibration is coming thru the cable.

Like I mentioned before with the leg bone connected to the knee bone, and the knee bone connected to the thigh bone, and the thigh bone connected to the hip bone.... the engine connected to the tranny, tranny connected to the rear brakes, rear the brakes connected to the rear brake lever.... While the front brake lever is only connected to the front tire... ;)
