Fork seal started leaking and need to replace it. Anyone seen any online videos showing how to change fork seals specifically for Downtown 300? Seen useful one about changing fork oil on www.scootermotor.es (http://www.scootermotor.es) but not about changing the fork seals themselves. Failing this what's the best service manual available for the Downtown? Planning to order new seals online and change them myself. Any advice/tips welcome. Thanks.

I would be afraid to take on that job.
That is one job I would pay for if price was within reason.

Replacing seals already? How many miles do you have on it? I had my Yamaha for 12 years and 78,000 miles and never changed the fork seals. I have less than 5000 on my 2013 DT 300 and I shudder to think that it will need new seals in the near future.

Yes, I'm surprised too, as its only lasted just over 6k miles on a well looked after bike with no pitting/damage on leg so it must just be a one-off seal issue. Luckily it's only the near side so no issues with front brake to deal with. In all other respects the bike's been trouble free apart from having to fit new indicator relay which required removal of most of the fairing panels which looks dramatic but is actually quite a straight forward job.
Having followed forum advice (Cortez etc), the handling has been 100% transformed with Michelin Power Pures, along much better screen (Bondi) and Givi rack and V46 top box (matching white cover) bought online from Italy as its far cheaper than the UK.
