Title: dry spark plug
Post by: dannog on July 19, 2013, 12:43:54 AM
I have a 2009 agility 50. I was riding and all was good, it then had a 20 second bog session and died. Have not been able to start it again. Taken the carb apart twice cleaned it the jets are clear, carb gets fuel but not getting to the engine, the sparkplug is dry. I am lost any help would be great. Mahalo

Hi, when you took the carb off each time was the float bowl full of fuel ? If not then the vacuum valve for the fuel is not working.
Take the top off the carb and check that the rubber diaphragm is not torn or punctured?
Take the fuel cap off and see if it runs, if it does the vent hole in the fuel cap is blocked.
Try putting some fuel in a can or jar with a pipe to the carb. If it runs its probably the vacuum valve.
If you have a can of 'easy-start' give a squirt into the air filter box and see if it fires. If it does then for certain its a fuel problem.

let us know how how you get on.
