SMIDSY = Sorry mate, I didn't see you. This guy appears to do a rolling stop and just as I pass in front of him, he guns it. The bike is likely totaled but I don't know for sure. I have a broken collar bone, broken shoulder blade, neck and back injuries, busted ribs, busted leg and ankle... among other things. Yes, I had all my gear on including my helmet cam. I won't post the video but here is a pic on my 2012 Kymco Like 200i under a Chevrolet. You can see my laying in the foreground, that's my gloved hand sticking up and my helmet (still on my head) in the lower right. I won't be doing any riding for a while as I am in pretty bad shape. Ride safe, y'all... and wear your gear!

Dear Sonic, So sorry to hear what happened to you, truly - man, you are our semi-official LIKE videographer~!
Darn buddy - just really feel bad for you - you've got to be feeling a lot of pain and also must be pretty discouraged - as we all have seen how much you like your Kymco riding!
Vent here if you want to - you are surely aware that you are among friends. Gripe and complain - we will understand.
What I'm saying is there is no darn need to John Wayne this incident and the aftermath.
But mainly listen to your doctors and get yourself healed.
You gotta know that your news is a blow to all your scoot friends......

Double damn! Way too much of this type of thing happening to our forum members of late. Makes you think twice about riding.....it's a risky business. Be extra careful out there. Hoping for a quick recovery SonicSix!

So sorry to hear this. That sucks! I was in a similar accident 30+ years ago on my motorcycle. Take that asshat to court. Don't count on his insurance company to do more than to try and quickly settle the claim. Whatever you do don't sign off on the medical coverage until you are feeling at your best. I know too many people who have settled quickly only to have additional costly complications down the road.

Sorry to hear about this Sonic! I want to kick the sh** out of this driver for you! I feel your pain. My morbid sense of humor, and my attempt to distract from the discomfort of any situation, makes me want to say, "sh**, your YouTube views are about to skyrocket, but for the wrong reasons!"
In all seriousness, the recovery is going to be slow. It's been 3 weeks out for me, with injuries that aren't even close to as severe as yours, and I still feel like I was hit by that freaking car yesterday.
Take things slow, buddy. Call a lawyer to handle to everything. This means you can talk to ONLY the lawyer, instead of up to a dozen different people. This allows you to focus on resting and healing.

Sonic, sorry to hear about your accident. I hope you heal quickly and completely. I have been injured in 3 auto wrecks in the 70 s and I know the frustration you must be feeling. My prayers are with you. Job
