Title: Do You Know Your Shock Length?
Post by: Stig / Major Tom on July 05, 2013, 10:06:45 PM
I ride a Kymco LIKE 200i and I need to fit slightly longer shocks on the rear.
I can get a close measurement of my stock shocks - but I have no idea how long other Kymco shocks are. Nobody seems to give the shock length. My dealer doesn't stock any - so I can't ask him.
The prefix number  for my shock is #52400 - but on the Kymco parts lists a bunch of shocks for different sized scooters have the same #52400 (and some prices are double my shock's price).
Google 'scooter shock 52400' and you get 'em for Hondas , Kymcos, etc., etc.

What I'm looking for:

1)  A slightly longer shock to fit with no modifications (maybe 1"  or 1 1/2" longer).
2)  A shock with more suspension travel.
3)  No.2 is probably a hopeless dream for a scooter, so I'll settle for finding No.1.

Any folks happen to know what length shock they have on their Kymco?

I had planned on trying one of these someday;
