Anyone ever do a digital tachometer installation on their LIKE 200i?
Thought I read somehwere that there are simple ones which attach to the battery and the spark plug wire.
It would be nice to see what the engine is doing - the speedo is never doing anything exciting as I've ridden 1300 miles and have yet to go over 43 MPH. (that was a brief lapse of sanity)
Why? <<<< that's my drivers license picture over there <<<< Does that guy look like Mr. Speed?

On another site I belong to they use these for a tach;

Hmm even cheaper on Ebay (but might take a while to get here from HK);

Stig, get the analog type for two reasons:
1. A chrome analog is best for the Like because of it's retro looks.. a digital one is quite "modern".
2. Although the digital is more accurate, have to "read" the numbers on it and leave eyes off the road for a second or two... while the analog, all you have to do is a quick "glance" and you'll have an idea on the rpm... and keep your eyes on the road...
Here's a tip: Turn your tachometer in such a way that the redline is at the 12 o'clock position so with just a quick glance at wot, you can tell that you have reached the redline when your needle is pointing at 12'o'clock.
