I just got a Sento 50 that was stolen and trashed, and I'm trying to rehabilitate the poor thing. :-\
The carb is an eighteen mm size, and the manifold has the same size opening to the head. Can I buy a larger size carb and manifold and install them, and have any hope that it might improve performance?
I have a Shanghai Meitian 50 cc that has a 24 mm carb on it, and it seems to work well.
Thanks for any input, CZ

Yes you can a 18mm manifold will hold up to a 20 mm carb I have one on my montofino scoot gives it faster take off and the top end gets there faster. you will love it. you can even put in a bigger jet and open air filter in it and watch the looks you get from people you pass.

If you add a larger carb you will need to open up the Airbox ( drill holes ) to let it breathe better and get full use of the larger capacity fuel charge being brought into the motor from a larger carb....but its all for not..... unless you open up the exhaust as well to let the motor breathe better, which would require a free flowing exhaust...aka new pipe....then it will rock !
