Bought a new battery yeasterday as my 4 month old one made in china died. I bought the chinese one on ebay for $28.00 plus $10 shipping, so I only lost $38. New one made in USA cost $100, but it has a 2 year warranty. So beware. The ebay one was cheap, but the cranking power was real low, and it died as soon as it hit the arizona heat. So if you see a real cheap one on ebay, stay away. Thought I would get 1 year out of it, but it was to cheaply made to even do that? :-* :'(

last one i bought on amazon was $50 on the 250 xc it was great.

Two brands of batteries that we like are MotoBatt http://www.motobattbatteries.com/ (http://www.motobattbatteries.com/)
MotoBatt has a 2yr warranty I think.
and Scorpion http://www.batterystuff.com/all-products-by-brand/scorpion/ (http://www.batterystuff.com/all-products-by-brand/scorpion/)
There are several places on line to buy them. If you get a AGM battery, they can be shipped USPS without a problem and they
require no acid to be added.. just trickle charge and use.
Scoot safely.

Yes, it's an AGM. Both were AGM.

I too live in Arizona. I am a huge fan of the AGM batteries. I think with our heat it is a bit of a crap shoot how long they last. The heat this year has been comical. We are over 100 for 20 days in a row. It is a tough life for a battery here.

The cheap chinese battery was AGM, as is the new American made one. If this one craps out do to heat, then I might buy a true gel or lithium if they can handle the heat for a few to several years? :-*
