Every 2500 miles.  I have checked mine 4 times.  It's not difficult.  They needed adjustment 2 out of those 4 times.  Here's a u tube video showing how to do it: Kymco Super8 Scooter Valve Clearance Adjustment (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LSL3dhg96m4#)

What clearence should they bet adjusted to?
