Hello All,
 Curious if anyone could provide input. Perhaps even multiple suggestions, as I'll be potentially pulling things apart shortly.
 I've noticed that my scooter runs about 1000rpm faster at nearly all speeds now. I didn't notice such a thing last year. It really just started when I pulled my scoot out this year. In fact, I didn't really notice until I was taken the highway every day and have my check engine light blink because my RPM's were getting too high. This had never happened before. I could go 50mph and the rpm's would be between 5 and 6k. Not it's at least 7k.
 Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions?

Worn out drive belt, or maybe rollers worn down, or clutch slipping? Maybe you have some oil or grease on the drive pulleys?
Something to think about anyway. I'd definitely take a look at the CV.

A worn out belt is narrower than a new one...may affect speed/rpm...
