I want to haul my 230lb scooter to the beach. Will a hitch hauler be ok or should I get a small trailer. I want to save money and get the hitch hauler, but is it safe with a small suv kia sportage. This has proble been asked many times and I mised it, any advice from you pros may save my life, thanks

I suggest a hauler/ramp with a hitch helper... they have wheels under them for added safety and support... talk about weight distribution... ;)
However, 230 pounds is just about 2 sacks of rice... or a big heavy person... I might say a hitch hauler would be fine....

Thangs Vivo, where do you find a carrier like this? I have never seen such a hauler, but it looks very safe.

They have a website www.acchitchhelper.com (http://www.acchitchhelper.com)

It is important that if you strap the scoot down that you put a block of wood between the tire and the fender so the forks don't get compressed to prevent damging the seals.

Hitch hauler like VersaHaul requires 2" receiver. I kinda think the Sportage has a small receiver like about 1.25".
