Title: What's this wire for?
Post by: Stig / Major Tom on May 26, 2013, 07:00:59 PM
Found this wire when doing my valves this morning. Seems to be fused in the middle - and has a covered 'plug' of some kind on the end. Is it for a battery charger - engine diagnosis plug-in? What. Any ideas?

Stig, It is a pigtail to connect a battery tender.

Thanks Len....at first I thought it might be something I had accidentally unplugged. Then I sorted out where everything seemed to be going - and saw that there was at least a 50% chance I hadn't screwed anything up !! (those are better-than-average odds for me)

The scoots don't normally come with those wires supplied so the dealer must have installed. By the way the new add-ons on your LX look good!

The one that came with the Battery Tender Jr I routed out the bottom of the scooter near the side stand. I rarely use it, but if the scooter sits more than a few weeks as it did this past winter, I do hook it up for a few hours.

I'm in Canada and my dealer had installed it before I picked it up...
