Title: ..variator lubrication..
Post by: wordslinger on July 14, 2009, 11:56:38 PM
I have some CRC Dry Moly Lube in a spray.  Anyone tried something like this?    Wonder how it might work on the sliders?  It give a slick dry coating when it dries and it dries very fast.

..I gleaned this question from the "500" board...

..I've never seen any discussion of variator lubrication on the Agility 50 board...

..we all just want to go faster..

..let's educate ourselves as we strive....

I'm curious myself.  The rollers are suppossed to be self-lubricating, i don't think it would hurt though.  Just have to keep it off of the belt!

Question: when replacing OEM rollers, does anything have to be greased around them? Tnx.

..never use grease..it will sling out and could possibly transfer to your belt...which is a bad thing...

..a dry lube is okay, just use it sparingly...
