I have a brand new 2012 kymco super 8 2t 50cc and it has 2 little lights under the headlight and its not lighting at all, does anybody know anything about those little lights ?

Those are park lights in the Euro and Asian models... they are not wired for U.S. models...

Can i wire them to the headlight?any electrical problems by doing this? Is it going affect the headlight brightness? Thanks

If I'm not mistaken, your scoot's head light turns on when you fire up your engine... your light is always on, right? In my super 8, those little lights turns on when I turn on my headlight switch halfway and when I turn on my headlight switch, those little park light switch, automatically turns off... What is your purpose in wiring these little lights?

As u said earlier , mine is an U.S model and those little lights are
not wired, and it doesnt have a switch for headlight that's why I'm trying to do to get those lights working

My question was... what is your purpose in wiring the lights? because the park lights are supposed to be turned on before turning on the headlight and it's supposed to be "off" when the head light is on... Do you want these little lights to be "on" together with the headlights? or do you want a separate switch for these little lights? One option is to connect/tap them to the tail lamp light to get a DC tap. Since I'm not familiar with the U.S. version... I want to ask if the bulbs and sockets are already there and not dummy ones?

The bulbs and sockets are already there but they are not working cause i think they are not wired . I'd like to have them on together with the headlights . And my scooter doesnt have the switch to turn on or off the headlight , so what can i do to get them working ?

Ok, first you have to remove these little lights.... Face the scooter, look under the fairing below the headlight and you can see/feel the rubber sockets of these little lights... you can easily pull them down and out the headlight housing...

Yes sir , then next step ...

So, I presume the sockets don't have wires in them? Remove the bulb from the socket and see if you can remove the metal contacts inside the rubber socket. (take note that I have not done this myself in a Super 8 but am familiar with bulbs and sockets)
Once you have those, you will need a soldering iron, soldering lead, and some automotive wires.
We want to make something like this....
